Home Made Energy is an illustrated instruction kit that shows how to build and install your own solar panel and wind turbine systems. It was created by scientist, inventor and energy consultant, Bill Ford.

The 2 systems are detailed separately. The 'Solar Power System' can be built with materials form any local hardware store, costing less than $200. System 2, a 'Wind Power System', is a power-generating windmill costing around $100 also with easily obtainable materials. Email support is provided.

Designed for the novice, the guide assumes no previous knowledge. Inside the guide you'll get specific instructions on which is best to build, based on your geographical location and the size of your house.

The creator gives background and explains the basics of the system on a video on the website homepage.
